HOW DOES PRF INSURANCE WORK In Hawaii?

PRF insurance coverage protects ranchers and livestock producers from the financial impacts of below-average rainfall. Policies are based on the direct correlation between below-average rainfall and decreased forage production leading to unexpected costs that hurt your bottom line. Here's a snapshot of how it works:

Insure your grazing or haying acreage (owned or leased) for up to 90% of average rainfall.

Receive cash indemnity payments when rainfall is below average in your area.

No premium is due up-front - indemnities go toward your premium first until the balance is satisfied. Additional payments go straight to you!

Your land is insured in two-month intervals throughout the year.
