Wanted to get these out to you as soon as they came in, and will follow this up with more detailed thoughts in the next few days. One of the things I will be talking about is the transition away from La Nina, possibly to El Nino. I know I have been talking about this for quite some time, but want to update you on it. PLUS, and even more important in my eyes...the possible warming of the PDO. This would help facilitate a more favorable long-term pattern change for much of the Plains. For places like the Northern California, the Pacific Northwest, and parts of the Northern Rockies, this transition to a warmer Pacific may create some drought issues. It can't always be perfect everywhere, so it is important to capitalize on the moisture you get when you get it.
