I am a third-generation rancher and started my own business from the ground up: J.R. Livestock. It is a family-owned operation originating from Eastern Oregon. I have run cattle in most of the Northwestern states, mainly dealing with range ground and grazing permits, both state and federal, in Idaho, Oregon, and Wyoming. My work history has always been involved in raising cattle, from cow-calf operations and managing feeders, from extensive range ground to irrigated meadows. Starting and managing my own livestock business helped me become proficient in identifying, analyzing, and implementing agriculture programs and activities, as well as formulating, quantifying, and tracking results and performance indicators based on individual producer and land needs.
